Hej!
Vi vill dela med oss av lite intressant och läsvärd läsning kring Quionne rullskidor 🙂
QUIONNE ROLLERSKI DESCRIPTION
”The first rollerski ever that simulates the “ski rebound effect” (flexibility and
energy storage), thanks to the integration of the flexion system (patented by Quionne)
on a monocoque chassis of carbon fiber.
Cross-country skis have a curved shape so when the skier exerts weight on it, it
flattens storing the push energy inside. Then when the skier removes the weight, the
ski recovers its shape pushing the skier up like a spring giving the stored energy back
to the skier every step. This effect is called ´´ski rebound effect” and it is the effect
simulated by Quionne rollerskis.
Quionne rollerski has two flexible areas, each one close to each wheel. These flexible
areas store the energy of the skier, when he pushes by bending these areas, and give
the energy back to the skier after he/she stops pushing. This performance makes the
rollerskiing much more similar to skiing than any other model in the market, so ski
training is much more effective.
This flexibility also acts as a cushioning system to the road roughness, so it makes the
Quionne rollerski much more comfortable. This cushioning distributes the stress
softly through all the chassis, making the rollerski much more reliable and durable.
The flex system is customized for weight and preferences of the skier. Quionne offers 3
flexion index of its chassis, S, M and XL.
– S is recommended for skiers up to 55 Kg.
– M is recommender between 50 and 75 Kg .
– XL is recommended from 70 Kg up to 120Kg.
Weight is just a recommendation. Some skiers like to train with really soft Quionne so
they train certain technical aspects like homogeneous push train.
Homogeneous push train: The skiers get used to push too fast and strong on the
rollerski with the leg, because the asphalt never collapses and the regular rollerskis are
rigid or absorbent. On the contrary, with this reactive flexible technology this problem is
corrected and the ski technique for snow is improved.
Quionne is an engineering company researching in many areas. Every detail of
Quionne rollerksi has been designed by its engineers from scratch to simulate as better
as possible the ski feeling, trying to innovate and use advanced materials. Besides this
improved technology, the rollerski also has a fresh and new look, away from the rest of
the rollerskis in the market.
Monocoque carbon fiber Chassis
– It is made with carbon fiber and high density PVC foam in the core. It is light, strong and
trendy.
– Thanks to the flat areas, next to each wheel, the chassis is flexible and resistant to stress
fatigue. These flats areas can be customized depending on the degree of flexibility needed.
– The central body has a semi-circular section, allowing a low ground clearance, while, at the
same time, the typical problem of wearing away the bottom is minimized.
– The top surface of the chassis is wide and achieves excellent lateral and torsional rigidity,
which makes to the rollerskis to keep the line in the asphalt as the cross-country skis in the
snow tracks.
Shafts
We have designed the shafting and spacers so that the wheels can be mounted easily with just
an Allen key. It is a light, simple and smart design.”
